Under partly to mostly cloudy skies, near-seasonal temperatures were
observed across the area, with afternoon highs in the upper 60s and
70s. Greater cloud cover in central Kansas kept these temperatures
lower than in southeast Kansas, where fewer clouds allowed for high
temperatures closer to values typical for mid-May. Winds in the
region were mainly out of the south to southeast and provided breezy
conditions at times, but mainly remained calm for a majority of the
day.

A few spotty showers were found in south central Kansas and tracking
to the northeast. Along with further chances of precipitation, these
are expected to dissipate as the evening progresses while clouds
should persist. This remaining cover should result in near-normal
lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Mild conditions are forecasted across the region for Tuesday with
highs in the low 70s in central Kansas, and lower 80s in north and
east Kansas. Breezy southeasterly winds and partly cloudy skies will
feed the warming in southeast Kansas, while mostly cloudy skies will
keep high temperatures relatively low in central Kansas.

Similar to Monday, an isolated shower or storm on Tuesday in the
late morning and early afternoon hours cannot be ruled out in
central Kansas. Low temperatures will drop to the mid 50s in north
central Kansas, and near 60 along the Kansas-Oklahoma border.
